In the whole territory of Romagna Art and Gastronomy go hand in hand but in Forlimpopoli they are wisely combined to achieve a perfect synthesis. For the visitors arriving in city of Artusi, the itinerary starts with the imposing mass of ordelaffiana's keep.
Built in the middle of the 14th century in the site where the ancient cathedral once stood, the fortress has returned to its original décor thanks to important restore undertaken in the last decades of the last century. Today the fortress is the seat of the Municipality and home to the charming theatre named after "Giuseppe Verdi" and the small yet prestigious Archaeological Museum. Worthy of note is the collection of finding from the Roman era. The town, founded in the second half of the second century BC along the "Via Emilia" , became a vibrant production's center of wine amphorae, and it developed well his attitude to the exploitation of agricultural land through trade. Attitude that has remained unchanged over time so as to become one of the reasons that inspired the creation of "Casa Artusi". Inaugurated in June 2007 during the "Festa Artusiana",- the most important event in the city- and renovated spaces housed in the former complex of the "Chiesa dei Servi", "Casa Artusi " is the first gastronomic culture center dedicated to home cooking. It could not be otherwise in the city where Pellegrino Artusi, the author of the world famous handbook "Science in the kitchen and the art of eating well" was born.

The tour of the city ends with a visit to this small jewel of architecture and art Baroque, which is the "Chiesa dei Servi". Built between the last fifteenth century and the first quarter of the sixteen century, the church underwent a major transformation at the beginning of the eighteenth century according to the taste of time. Inside are very impressive, artistic works of great value such as the "Announcement" by Marco Palmezzano (1533) and the organ doors decorated by Livio Modigliani (1576).
